“ (Date of visit & review: August 9, 2024) I fell in love with the owner's kindness, the taste of the food, and the extra service he provided. This restaurant, which I visited during my trip to Chilliwack, is a favorite of my kids because they love sushi. I ordered their favorite dishes, and they ate everything. I even enjoyed one dish so much that I forgot to take a picture of it. While I was eating, I noticed that many people were ordering to go. From the way they greeted the owner and chatted with each other, it seemed like there were a lot of regular customers. (Date of review: February 17, 2025) This was my second visit. I was in the Chilliwack area last Saturday for some errands and decided to stop by SushiYama for lunch. It had been a while since my last visit, and the owners were still as welcoming as ever. I had the Lunch Box(Sashimi & Sushi), Tuna Maki, and Hot Night Roll. The tempura in the lunch box had a tempting aroma as it came out, and the crunch when you take a bite really gets your taste buds going. The dressing on the salad was also delicious and made the meal even more appetizing. There was plenty of food for two adult men, but it was so tasty that we finished everything right there. If I lived closer to this place, I would definitely come more often, but it’s a bit of a drive from Vancouver West. I plan to stop by whenever I'm in the area though. If you're in the neighborhood or passing through Chilliwack, I highly recommend giving it a try. ”
“ My family and I were in the area visiting and decided to stop into Sushi Yama to give it a try s it was the closest place from our friends place. I am so happy we ate here! The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were big. We ordered the double Philly roll, Dragon Roll and both were very delicious. We also ordered the shrimp tempura, beek noodle, and salmon teriyaki. The restaurant is not fancy by any means and more like cozy and mom & pop vibes. Definitely give this place a try! Thank you for the delicious food Sushi Yama, we’ll be back in the near future! ”

“ Best sushi in Chilliwack. I tried 8 or more sushi restaurants when I moved to Chilliwack. Hoping I could find something close to a couple places I loved in delta and Surrey. Sushi Yama is it. Quality surpasses the competitors in this town. The Crispy scallop roll is really good. Nice fresh ingredients. It’s a ma and pa restaurant, husband and wife. They get busy and sometimes don’t have time to answer the phone for an order. In restaurant service is always fantastic. They are busy though because the wife cooks and waits on customers. Here again now, I’ve been probably 20 times and it’s fantastic every single time. Love love love this place!! ”
“ Wonderful establishment - great tasting food and wonderful cuts of sashimi and the ideal ratio from fish to rice for their nigiri. Ended up getting the Dinner sashimi box and for 31.99 you get everything in the photo as well as miso soup, which I forgot to take a photo of. So for what you pay you get a lot of good quality food. Will definitely be coming back to this family owned establishment. ”
